Our Mission
Twilight Tails Rescue is a 501 (c) (3) , volunteer run canine rescue based in Fulshear, TX, dedicated to the rescue and rehabilitation of all breeds and all ages in Houston and surrounding areas.
Our dogs come to us from all backgrounds, many abandoned, ill and or injured and in need of immediate medical attention. We rely on the support of our community of amazing rescuers, transporters, donors, vets and volunteers to keep our dogs healthy and happy before they journey on to their forever homes!

Adoption a dog, of any age is a long term commitment. Dogs, while an incredible addition to a home, also come with a lot of responsibility. This is not a decision to take lightly.
To help understand if you are ready to adopt, please read and answer the questions below:
Is everyone in the family / unit on board with the adoption?
Do you have the time (and willingness!) to put forth the effort it takes to properly socialize, train, walk and vet a dog?
Are you prepared to consider the canine as part of your family?
Are you prepared to spend hundreds of dollars a year on food, and annual vetting, with the possibility of medical emergencies.
Do you understand the requirement of monthly heartworm prevention and flea prevention?
Do you have a plan for your pet if you have to leave town?
Do you have a plan for your pet if you become ill or pass away?
If you answered YES to all of the above, you are headed in the right direction. The next thing you need to consider is the breed, size, and energy levels that match you. Some breeds require lots of exercise, others not so much. Some are better with kids than others, and if you opt for a puppy consider the time commitment for training before you fall for a furry face.
